Shrewsbury Indoor Bowls Club's 6 lane indoor bowling centre, was officially opened by His Worship the Mayor of Shrewsbury and Atcham, Councillor John Cooke, and Greg Harlow the World No 2 Flat Green Bowler, on the 12th December 2007.

From that date, over 800 people have joined the club, providing a firm base for the weekend friendly home and away matches, club competitions and the mid-week league programme.

 In addition to these activities, the club also actively supportsand encourages the twice weekly, "Chummies" bowling sessions on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons when everyone, members and non members alike are very welcome to come along and join in. In addition to the "Chummies", the Shrewsbury "U3A" society also have  regular weekly session on Wednesdays at 12.00 noon.

Shrewsbury Indoor, welcomes and supports enquiries from other flat green clubs with a view to arranging a series of Home and Away friendly matches throughout the season.

Apart from the bowling matches, the club is able to provide coaching at all levels to all ages with its coaching team. An annual newsletter is produced providing a means of keeping members up to date with any changes and points of interest. It is hoped that this may be published at approximately 6 monthly intervals, together with an annual club handbook.

The club is open from 9.30am – 10pm Monday to Friday

                                   9.30am  -  6pm Saturday and Sunday
